On Page SEO Illustrated

🧠 What is On-Page SEO?

On-page SEO means optimizing your website’s content and HTML elements to make it easier for Google to understand your pages — and rank them higher.

It’s like writing a neat exam paper that helps the teacher (in this case, Google) quickly understand and grade you well.

🧒 My First Mistake (And How I Fixed It)

When I created my first blog — SEO by Nazeer — I poured my heart into writing.

But no one visited. 😢 Why? Because I ignored on-page SEO.

Only after I learned about on-page ranking factors from Moz, things changed. Google needs clues to know what your content is about — and that’s what on-page SEO provides!

✅ On-Page SEO Basics You Must Know

1. 🎯 Use a Focus Keyword

Choose one primary keyword (e.g., "on-page SEO for beginners") and place it in:

  • Title
  • URL
  • First 100 words
  • Headings (H2, H3)
  • Meta description
  • Image alt text

2. 🏷️ Title Tags & Meta Description

Make sure your title is under 60 characters and your meta description is clear and inviting (155-160 characters).

Example:
